What’s better than a Father’s Day BBQ? To celebrate this Father’s day I will be making one of Duane’s favorite BBQ recipes: “Grilled Kurobuta Pork Chops”.

This dish is the perfect father’s day meal and such a hit with the family. I enjoy pairing it with fresh in season corn on the cob and a fresh tossed salad. ✨👩‍🍳

Why you’ll love this recipe!

  • A family favorite
  • Full of fresh ingredients & veggies
  • Lean Meat: a delicious steak - without the calories! (They aren’t fatty like ribs, or steak, but give you the feeling of enjoying a lean cut of white meat as if it were a delicious steak.)

Ingredients

  • 2 ea, 2-inch thick cut Kurobuta Pork Chops (bone in)
  • Pork spice rub (tanndori glory)
  • 2 Corn Cobs with husk
  • 2 Heads of Little Gem Lettuce, chopped
  • 1 Pint Cherry Tomatoes, halved
  • 1 Orange Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 Cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 Cup Pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 5 ea, Strawberries or Cherries, diced
  • Goat’s Cheese Crumbles, to Finish
  • Champagne Vinaigrette, to Taste

Preparation

  1. Cover the pork chops with the spice rub of your choice. I enjoy using “Tanndori Glory”.
  2. Grill them over medium heat for 6 minutes, each side,  until they are light pink in the center.
  3. Grill the corn, with husk on, or boil for 6 minutes in water with a pinch of salt and olive oil.
  4. For the tossed salad, mix a little of gem lettuce, your halved cherry tomatoes, diced orange bell peppers, diced cucumbers, crushed pistachios, a few diced strawberries or cherries and  top with goat cheese. Serve with champagne vinaigrette.
